Lelah Pauline Baxley was one of ten children born to Charles Allen Baxley and Mary Jane Van Hyning Baxley. She was born on August 17, 1896 in East Liberty, Ohio. She married Loyd Wellington Grubbs and they had three children, Loyd Nelson Grubbs, Lewis Caroll Grubbs, and June Ilene Grubbs Reed. The family moved to Toledo, Ohio in the 1930s. Lelah's siblings included George Nelson Baxley, Franklin Merle Baxley, Marion Van Hyning Baxley, Catherine (Kit) Baxley, Charles Dale Baxley, Sadie B Baxley ,David Baxley, M Blanche Baxley, Clyde Baxley. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. Her Grandchildren include Gary A. Reed, Diana C. Reed Dewees, David Grubbs, John Grubbs, Carol Jane Grubbs, Mariann Grubbs, Lewis Grubbs and Stacey Grubbs.
