She was a member of Kappa Kappa Camma Sorority at Kansas University and graduated in 1948 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. She married James E. Guinotte on May 7, 1949 in Lawrence, KS and moved to Chanute, KS. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar Society and Parish Council. She enjoyed painting, nature and was an avid Kansas City Royals fan.
