She is survived by one son, Kenneth Norton, Sr. (wife, Rose Conant) of San Clemente, Calif.; five grandchildren, Kenneth (wife, Angela) Norton, Jr., Brandon Norton, Kenisha Norton and Kene Jon Norton, all of Los Angeles, Calif., and Keith Norton of Houston, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Rev. Abraham (wife, Helen) Brown of Jacksonville; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dola Robinson.
Mrs. Norton was a member of Mt. Emory Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She had been a Mental Health Therapist at Jacksonville State Hospital for over thirty-five years. She had been involved with delivering Doorbell Dinners, participated in bowling leagues for over twenty-five years, and loved to read and to cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Services were entrusted to Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
