Stephen Mark Cartier of Jupiter died Tuesday, June 10. He was a native of Manchester, CT and lived in Jupiter since 1960.

He signed a baseball contract with the Texas Rangers and played for the Geneva, NY, farm team before returning to Jupiter to join his brother in the successful family business. He was a star athlete and graduate of Jupiter High School, Class of 1972.

Survivors include his wife, Luanne; two sons, Michael Ty and Dylan; his father, Wayne Sr.; his step-mother, Lorraine; two brothers, Wayne "Sparky" Jr. and David; a sister, Karen Holmes and husband, Bill, all of Jupiter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens. Father Kevin Nelson will be the celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Memorial Park.
