Nancy Lynn Cook, 64, North Vernon, died at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008, at her residence.

She enjoyed playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. She was divorced and a homemaker.

Born March 22, 1944, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Carl and Nina(Brown)Cowin, both of whom preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters, April(Eddie)Thomas, Sr., and Alisa Cook, both of Key Largo, Fla; son, Karl Cook, Louisiana; companion, Jacob VerMeulen; Jerry Cowin, Fairland, Henry (Debbie)Borders, Gas City, and James(Donna)Cowin, Seymour; sisters, Lois Haus, Shelbyville, Beverly Anderson, and Janet Isaac, both of North Vernon; grandchildren, Eddie Thomas Jr., and LaTonya Thomas of Key Largo, Florida.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Zeta Brauer, June Davis and Marjorie Watkins.

The Rev. Joseph Smith will conduct a celebration of life service to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, Shelbyville.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial was to take place at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
