Mr. Charles Gray Miller, 65, of the Big A Mountain section of Honaker, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at his home. Born May 3, 1940 in Monroe County, he was a son of the late Charles Winfred and Nellie Miller. He had married into the Rasnake and Street families 41 years ago, when he met Juanita Rasnake Miller. He had resided in the Honaker area for the past 4 1/2 years, moving there from Gaithersburg, Md. He was a retired water department worker, having been employed by the D.C. Government. He was a member and knight with the Knights of Pythias, Lodge No. 123 in Gaithersburg. He was of the Baptist and Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, infant, Dora Miller, Fay Wells, and Betty Christian. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Rasnake Miller of the home; one daughter, Donna A. Miller of Honaker; one son, Charles Gregory Miller and his wife, Regina of Germantown, Md.; four grandchildren, Callie Ann Miller, Julia Marie Miller, Benjamin Louis Miller, Trista Liane Miller; two sisters, Mary Ford of Christiansburg, Virginia and Nellie Smith of Weaver, Ala.; several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker with the Rev. Ancil Childress, the Rev. Giles Ball, and Bro. Denver Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow in the Street Cemetery at Rowe, Virginia Pallbearers will be Steve Rasnake, Garmon Rasnake, Dwayne Rasnake, Roger Rasnake, Randall Rasnake, Curt Bostic, Kester Street, Ritchie Keen, and Anthony Tevepaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Presley, Howard "Bees" Baldwin, and Dr. Faisal Chaudhry. Friends may call at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
