When his service ended, he graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BS Degree. He majored in Accounting, with a minor in Economics. He worked and retired from Yellow Freight System (now Yellow-Roadway Corp) as Financial Vice President.
His wife, Sherry; daughter, Nancy Fielder and two sons, Hal and Jim; his step-children, Mark Monlinaro, Tami Engel, Marla Klopp, Kim Miller and thirteen grandchildren all survive him.
Harold ended his struggle with cancer on May 28, 2008 and will rest in peace at Fort Logan in Denver, CO and a private inurnment, with family members was held on June 3, 2008 at 1:30 p.m., with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Odyssey Hospice, at 5526 North Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO, 80918 or to Gleneagle Sertoma, a Service to Mankind Organization, P. O. Box 3171, Monument, CO 80132.
