M. Isabelle Wilkinson, 86, of Davisville, W.Va., passed away May 3, 2007, at the Willows Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 5, 1920, at Pentress, W.Va., in Monongalia County, the daughter of the late Pierce and Oscie M. Tennant Rose.

Isabelle was an active member of the Edgelawn Wilkinson United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of the Gihon Road CEOS Club. She enjoyed being a member of Circle No. 1 of the Edgelawn United Methodist Church along with Rita Hennessee, Enid Veon, Lucille Amos and Jo Ann Emrick. Isabelle enjoyed sewing and making quilts and had taught many in her circle of friends how to quilt. She was retired from Misty Manufacturing.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Allen G. Wilkinson Sr. of Davisville; her children, Allen G. "Butch" Wilkinson Jr. and his wife, Lydia, of Carmichaels, Pa., Diana Jones and her husband, James, of Belpre; Claudia Sue Snyder and her husband, Floyd, of Sheridan, Texas; four grandchildren, Joe Wilkinson and his wife, Jeanna, of Crescent, Pa., Traci Snyder Edman and her husband, Skip, of Columbus, Texas, Gregg Snyder and his wife, Rebecca, of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jaima Jones Brown and her husband, Brandon, of Vienna; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Meryl Tennant; one sister, Alberta Tennant Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Snodia Tennant and stepfather, Smith Rose; her brothers, Willis D. Tennant and Hayes Tennant; one sister, Mildred Fickeyand; two infant brothers, Waldo and Guy; and an infant sister, Ara.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be in the Olive Methodist Church Cemetery at Pentress, W.Va., in Monongalia County, with a graveside service 3:30 p.m. Monday. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
