Pete Olguin Jaramillo, age 69, a 32 year resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2008.

Pete was born in Jarales, New Mexico. He retired as an auctioneer for Civil Service after 32 years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved to cook, especially chili and tamales. He enjoyed telling a good story, and making people laugh.

He loved meeting new people and making new friends. He was a man of honor and integrity whose word was as good as gold. He was a proud family man who loved his family deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Climaco Jaramillo and Carmelita Olguin Jaramillo. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Torrez Jaramillo; his children: Theresa (husband David) Dixon; RoseMary Jaramillo; Dolores Jaramillo; Grandchildren: Tyrone and Adam Maldonado, Amanda Jaramillo and Dustin George; Step Grandchildren: David Jr., Torashay and Dontey Dixon; Great Grandchild: Isaiah Jaramillo Hawkinson; Sister, Trinnie Vega (husband, Julian); Niece: Eileen Kret Pridgeon.

Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses with private interment.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research, 625 North Cascade Ave. Suite 200, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. "Sold to the HIGHEST bidder."
