He was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Canton to Adolph and Ada (Reid) Maserati.
He is survived by one daughter, Amanda (Thomas) Petty of Canton; and one son, Josh Maserati of Peoria.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
He first worked at International Harvester in Canton. He later worked with Consolidated Coal in Norris and Southern Illinois mines. He then worked for PDC in Peoria, retiring in 2006.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a retired Teamsters member. He was a member of the Farmington Moose Lodge No. 1571 for 35 years and the Hanna City Sportsman's Club.
Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no visitation or services per his wishes.
