A.W. Haire

A.W. Haire, 73, who was of Balsam, N.C., and retired as a motor-carrier compliance officer, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Haire.

The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday at Flat Creek Cemetery in Gadsden County. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. EST today at McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy (8500-627-1111). Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Haire (and wife Sharon) of Tallahassee and Audie William "Bill" Haire Jr. of Concord, N.C.; a daughter, Bamala "B.J." Haire Harrell (and husband Jim) of Quincy; a brother, Johnny William Haire Jr. (and wife Brenda) of Reston Community; five stepchildren; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; eight great-stepgrandchildren; and four great-great-stepgrandchildren.
