William Thomas Lasher, 64, of Sigel, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at his residence. He was born March 14, 1942, in New Kensington to Claude Weston and Mary Catherine (Fichter) Lasher. Mr. Lasher was a graphic artist with Fisher Scientific in Pittsburgh and he also helped design sets for Point Park University's theater. An Army veteran, he served three tours in Vietnam where he earned two purple hearts. He was a graduate of what was then Carnegie Tech with a fine arts degree. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing and was very active in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Survivors include his companion, Lisa Damico of Sigel; and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Bonnie Lasher. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. Saturday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning until funeral services at noon with the Rev. Paul Rihel of Christ Community Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Rayburn Township.
