Alma LaVell Broderick, 87, passed away on June 16, 2008 in Delta. He resided at 619 West 100 North in Delta, Utah at the time of his death.




Born April 3, 1921 in Delta to Thomas Alma and Nellie Collier Broderick. Lived in Delta until went into Army during World War II. During leave he met his "Special Lady", Sephronia Mae Lake. Five days later, Sept. 18, 1943, they married in Ely, NV and they were together until her death on Aug. 9, 2007. Worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years, in Utah and California. Moved to Utah in 1972 and retired from railroad in 1986. Loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family.




Survived by children: Steven Alma Broderick, Sarah Lister, and Boyd Broderick; 13 grandkids, 27 great-grandkids, 10 great-great grandkids. Preceded in death by wife; grandchildren: Sephronia and Nephi Broderick; brothers: Tarvell and Neldon Broderick; and sister: Eva Johnson.





Services: Thurs. June 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Delta LDS 1st Ward Chapel. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary on Wed. from 7-8 p.m., and Monday at Church from 9:30-10:40 a.m.
Burial: Delta Cemetery.
