Robert E. Beard, 44, of Shreveport, La., formerly of Newberry Twp., died June 17 in Schumpert Memorial Hospital, Shreveport.
He was an employee of Arkla Gas Co., Shreveport; an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War; and a member of St. John Berchman Catholic Church, Shreveport.
Surviving are his parents, Richard and Freda Tusing Beard of York Haven; a twin brother, Rodney E. of Shreveport; three other brothers, Frank and Homer, both of York Haven, and Fred of Mountville; three sisters, Mae Chataginer of York Haven, Sally Eby of Manchester and Laura Heineman of Goldsboro; and several nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Yocumtown Church of God. Burial will be in Fetrow's Cemetery, Newberry Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Little Funeral Home, Manchester, is handling arrangements.
