John Allen residing in the east section of this city, died suddenly Thursday night at 8:00 o'clock from hemorrhage of the lungs.

Mr Allen was seventy-five years old, was not a robust man, although he had been enjoying his usual health up to the time of his death which was very sudden. Mr Allen died within a few minutes after suffering the hemorrhage. He had resided In Okemah for a year, coming here from Jasper, Arkansas.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev A C Pickens at the Methodist Episcopal Church South Friday afternoon and the burial was made in the Okemah cemetery.

Mr Allen was a member of the Christian church.
