Marie A. Baxter, 94, of 16th Street, mother of Laurene Noel of Columbus, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Bartholomew County Hospital.
She had worked in the poultry business and was a professional baby-sitter. Mrs. Baxter was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Jerry Day at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, where calling will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to service time on Wednesday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mrs. Baxter was born Feb. 11, 1894, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late William and Minnie Smith Englert. She was married to Carl Baxter in 1910. He died in 1964.
Also surviving are 13 nieces and nephews.
