Sympathy goes out to Mrs. Earl Guess in the loss by death of her brother, Dr. B. A. Wooten, on Wednesday July 9th. Dr. Wooten had been head of the Physics Department of the University of Alabama for many years and at the time of his passing he and Mrs. Wooten were visiting for the summer in Opelika, Ala., with Mrs. Wooten's sister.
While Dr. Wooten had been in failing health for a long time his condition was not believed serious and his passing came as a great shock to friends and loved ones.
Besides his sister here he leaves to mourn his passing his wife, a son and daughter in law.
Funeral rites were held in Auburn, Alabama and burial was in the cemetery at Opelika, Ala.
A sad coincidence was the fact that Mr. Guess and Mrs. Guess lost a uncle and brother respectively the same day.
