Wayne Hamilton, of Los Angeles, CA, age 84, passed away at a local hospice facility, June 18 2008. Wayne retired from the Navy after 22 years. He was an ordained minister who started several churches while still in the U.S Navy. He had a prison ministry and radio program, "Omega Calls". He owned and operated Omega Flight school and was a flight instructor at both Peter Prince "Milton T" and Brewton Airports. He owned and operated Hamilton's Appliance for 35 years in Milton, FL.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Hamilton & Pearl Foust; his brothers, Andy and Charlie Hamilton, sisters Marie Leiterman and Tessie Brown; his wife of 63 years, Frances Marie Hart; daughters, Janet Barlow and Jeanne Hamilton; and grandson, Ricky Hogan.
Wayne is survived by his children, Rheba (Dave) Mason, Terry Hamilton, and Sherry (Jim) Readdy; grandchildren, Paige Emerich, Luke (Michelle) Mason, Carson (Andrea) Mason, Jeremiah and Brock Hamilton, Carley (Christiaan) Fangman, Christy (Jeremy) Hudson, DeWayne Barlow, Jennifer (Jason) Davis and Daniel Hogan; brothers, Fred, Mark, and Jack Hamilton; sister, Joann Clark; ten great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved poodle, JJ.
Pallbearers will be Jim Readdy, Dave, Luke, Carson, and Garrett Mason and DeWayne Barlow.
Funeral services will be held at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel, at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 21, 2008. Visitation will be from 6-8, Friday, June 20, 2008. Burial at Serenity Gardens, Milton Florida with full Military Honors.
