Beverly Odom Castoe
Beverly "Sissy" Castoe died peacefully Tuesday evening, April 4, in a Midwest City nursing home. Ms. Castoe had battled diabetes for many years.
She was born May 22, 1952, in Shawnee to Bobby Odom and JoAnn Haug. Ms. Castoe attended Shawnee schools and graduated in 1970 from Shawnee High School. She attended Seminole Jr. College and Gordon Cooper Tech. On October 26, 1991, she married Randy Castoe in Shawnee.
Ms. Castoe loved poetry, music, cooking, gardening, and her family. In 1991 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and found the greatest love of her life. Through her difficulties with her health, she was often an inspiration to those who visited and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Roberta Anne Odom; grandparents, Carl and Viola Haug and Samuel and Mary Anna Odom; and best friend, Vanessa Dapprich in 1997.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel in Shawnee. The service will be officiated by Rev. Gary R. Hammons of Nowata.
She leaves behind a family who loves her deeply and mourns her loss.
