Samuel Robert Odom was born to loving parents and was the 9th of 10 children. His mother died when he was 3 of typhoid fever. He served with the United States Cavalry in the Philippines 1908-1910. He was a true patriot.

My grandfather was a dear man and very good to his granddaughters. He was the father of one son. We love and revere his memory. I had the opportunity to spend his last day on earth with him. I will forever treasure that memory.
