Sister Linda, Assistant Principle
Sr Linda Bonasera Op, assistant principal at Msgr Scanlan H.S> in the Bronx, died June 2nd at Einstein Hosp. Bronx . She was 64.
She had served at MSGR Scalan for 39 years. as asst. principle. since 1979 and a teacher, 1969-1979 . She also taught at St. Anthony's School in Nanuet 1967-1968, St Brendan's in the Bronx 1966-1967, and in Binghamton.
Born in NYC she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in 1964 and professed final vows in 1976. She held a bachelor's degree in elementary education from St Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, a Master in Math. from Villanova U. and admininistration certificate from Manhattan College.
she is survived by two stepsisters, Patricia Smart, and Karen Kee,
A funeral mass offered June 6th at Our Lady of the rosary Chapel at the Dominican Convent. with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery, Both in Sparkill.
