A son of Mark Umholtz Schreiber (1899-1964) & Lillie Irene Klinger (1900-1987).

Siblings: William Henry, Dorothy Mae, Mark Otis, John Albert, Ethel Irene, Edith Ann, Cora Jane, Ray Melvin, Loretta Marie, Myrtle Jean, Calvin Carlos, and Robert Franklin Schreiber.

He was the husband of Vera E. McDonel.

Children: Marshal Irving and Myrtle Irene Schreiber.

Charles E. Schreiber, 46, of Harrisburg, died Wednesday of last week at Polyclinic Hospital.

He was an employee of the State Department of Highways and a member of the Derry Street United Methodist Church, and the East End Democratic Club and the Friendship Club.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera E. Schreiber; a son, Marshal I., and a daughter, Miss Myrtle I. Schreiber, both at home; five brothers, Mark, Ray, and Calvin, all of Millersburg, Robert of Tower City, and William, of Harrisburg; six sisters, Miss Edith Schreiber and Mrs. Myrtle Bingaman, both of Millersburg, Mrs. Dorothy Barry, of Halifax, Mrs. Ethel Jandle, of California, Mrs. Loretta Troxell, of Gratz, and Mrs. Cora Rupp, and his mother, Mrs. Lillie Schreiber, of Millersburg.

Services were held Saturday from the Fackler Funeral Home, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Gerald J. Stutzman, his pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
