PENSACOLA, Fla. Jo Ellen Kennedy, 59, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in a Biloxi hospital. She was born April 21, 1941, in Chickasaw County to Pervis A. Morgan and Thelma Lou Morgan. She was a Navy wife for more than 30 years, and owned and operated Busy Bee Child Care for almost 20 years. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bellview Baptist Church with Dr. Gregg McBride officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Faith Chapel Funeral Home of Pensacola is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Charley H. Kennedy; four daughters, Charlsie Kennedy, Marjorie Mortensen, Peggy Anthony and Katrina Goldberger; three sons-in-law, Bobby Mortensen, Brannon Anthony and James Goldberger; her mother, Thelma Morgan; one sister, Judy Fountain; three brothers, Arnold Morgan, Delane Morgan and Dennis Morgan; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jo Ellen Kennedy Fund, Bellview Baptist Church, 4750 Saufley Road, Pensacola FL 32526.
