Mary L. Rogers, 78, of Paris died at 12:28 p.m. Friday (June 13, 2008) in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home with Pastor Wade Martin officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens in Paris. She was born Feb. 8, 1930, the daughter of John Henman and Mary Lena Duckworth Duke. She married Gilbert "Gil" Rogers in 1947; he survives. Other survivors include four sons, John Edward Rogers of Gardner, Michael Stephen Rogers of Washington, Richard Olin Rogers of Humboldt and Daniel Joseph Rogers of Paris; two daughters, Beverly Jean Webb of Braidwood and Janet Kay Hubbs of Danville; one brother, Jerry Duke of Pesotum; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and three brothers. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and also worked in a military ammunition factory in Joliet and worked at Personal Products, Wilmington.
