Mr. R.C. "Runt" Moses, age 65, Alston,Ga., died at Meadows Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 1985 following a brief illness.
The well-known Montgomery County native was retired from the Department of Offender Rehabilitation and was a member of the Alston United Methodist Church and the Milliken Creek Masonic Lodge No. 302. He had spent his lifetime in Montgomery County and was the son of the late James Preston and Mae Gibbs Moses.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Emily Martin Moses, Alston; one son, Ray D. Moses,Alston; one brother, J.M. "Brooks" Moses, Uvalda and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moses were held at the Alston United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 2, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Elvin English officiating, assisted by the Rev. Raylon Morgan. Interment followed in Pine Crest Cemetery in Vidalia. Active pallbearers were Michael Moses, Lloyd Moses, Preston Moses, John Moses, Edwin McBride, and Jimmy McBride.
Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of the arrangements.
