Barbara Leigh Clark Mustain, 56, of Holts Summit, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. She was born April 10, 1952, in California, Missouri, a daughter of the late Victor E. Clark Sr. and Viola L. (Heflin) Clark. She attended Jefferson City Schools and Southern Boone County R-I in Ashland, Missouri. On April 16, 1970, she was united in marriage in Vine Grove, Kentucky, to Thomas W. Mustain Sr., who survives at their home. Barbara co-pastored with her husband Thomas at the Pentecostal Church of God in California, Missouri. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Until a stroke seven years ago, she had one of the most beautiful singing voices, but she still loved to sing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed. Barbara is also survived by three children and eight grandchildren: Lea Ann Mustain Savage (husband David) of Russellville, Mo., their children, Dakota, Jennifer and Dalton; Thomas W. Mustain Jr. of Jefferson City, Mo., his children, John Thomas (J.T.), Shelbi and Kemdon; Kimberly Jo Mustain Blanton (husband Amiel) of Holts Summit, Mo., their children, Jonah and Kalei. Barbara was the youngest of seven siblings who also survive: Fredrick J. Clark (wife Rosetta) of Holts Summit, Mo.; Vernie M. Clark Yates (husband Robert) of Basehor, Kan.; Nona M. Clark Jenkins of New Bloomfield, Mo.; Julia A. Clark Willmeno (husband Herbert "Boe") of Jefferson City, Mo.; Victor E. Clark Jr. (wife Sheila) of New Bloomfield, Mo.; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.T. Mustain and Juanita Mustain of Ashland, Mo.; sister-in-law, Charlotte Mustain of Ashland, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Peggy Louise Clark and her step-mother, Faye Phillips Clark. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Solid Rock Family Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, at the Solid Rock Family Church, with Pastor Joseph Skiles officiating. Interment will follow in the McGirk Cemetery.
