Leonard was born September 27, 1945 in San Augustine, TX to the late Oscar "Nat" and Ellae Mae Davis. He joined the Maryland Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under Rev. Eugene Blake. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and his brothers C.J. and Oscar Ree.
He is survived by: wife of 33 years; 3 sons; 2 grandsons; Stepparents; and a devoted mother-in-law; 4 sisters; special sister/cousin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and other relatives and friends.
