Clifford Earle "Kip" Young Jr., 84, of Denver, a certified financial analyst, died Nov. 22. Services were Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crestmoor Chapel. Interment will be in American Fork Cemetery in American Fork, Utah.

He was born April 21, 1917, in American Fork. On June 21, 1944, he married Margaret Bennion in Salt Lake City. Young served in the Navy during World War II as an interpreter. He earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and a master's degree from Harvard Business School. His interests included genealogy, baseball, gardening, reading and music.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Clifford, Denver, Paul, Highland, Utah, and Karl, Colorado Springs; four daughters, Margaret Orlando, Farmington, Utah, Susan Hudiburg, Denver, Marilyn, Bountiful, Utah, and Janice Whatcott, Layton, Utah; three sisters, Edith Harris, Chicago, Helen Page, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Miriam Farnsworth, West Calley City, Utah; and 19 grandchildren.
