William Seaman GARRISON died from being shot in his back by Jep Lowe with a .32 calibre automatic (Jep's defense was that he felt Seamon was carrying a knife). Joe Moore, first witness called in the murder trial of Jef Lowe, testified he saw the defendant Shoot William Seaman Garrison, 26, of the Eastland Square, Nov.17,1934 then heard him say "You won't beat my boy any ... more."

Seamon was the son of James Samuel GARRISON and Annie Claire (SWEARINGEN) Garrison. In 1929 he married Willie "Billie" Lee Thurman. They had a daughter and a son. Seamon was only 26 years old when he was buried in Eastland Cemetery.

He is the brother of my grandmother,
Laura Ellen (Garrison) Whilkins Ashcraft.
