Eleanor was born in Salem, where she grew up and attended schools, and was a life long resident. She was retired homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Salem. She was active in bowling leagues in Salem many years ago and was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 8546 in Salem, N.H. She enjoyed playing the piano and electric organ, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Everett W. Lenzen.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara and her husband Barry S. Jackson of Haverhill, Beverly Lynch of Atkinson, N.H., Janet and her husband David Hamlin of Omaha, Neb. and Gayle and her husband Joseph Walch of Nashua, N.H.; two sons, Robert Lenzen of Maine and David and his wife Cathy Lenzen of Derry, N.H.; four sisters, Ruth Haligowski of Newburyport, Marjorie Caton of Hebron, Conn., Gladys Chorley of Salem, N.H. and Ethel Ackroyd of Dracut; six grandchildren, Robert J.E., William, Karen, Joseph, Bryan and Heather; three great-grandchildren, Kristin, Zachary and Ricky; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Sisters of Mercy Chapel, 21 Searles Road, Windham, N.H. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, 21 Searles Road, Windham. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, N.H.
