June Weston passed away June 20, 2008, at Country Life Assisted Living in Montana City.

June was born in Drummond on Jan. 24, 1911, to Maurice and Martha Jane James, pioneer family of Ira Hanna. She was a member of the first graduating class of Drummond High.

June married E.D. (Bill) Weston Jr. on June 30, 1934, in Drummond. They moved to Deer Lodge, Twin Bridges and McDonald Pass, where Bill was the highway section foreman. After retiring from the Montana Highway Department in Deer Lodge, they returned to Helena.

June was Worthy Matron, Daisy Chapter, Twin Bridges. Bill and June were charter members of Mountain Star OES. June was a member of Miriam Chapter OES, Daughters of the Nile, Royal Neighbors of America, Helena Women's Club, president of Sons and Daughters of Montana Pioneers and a life member of the Broadwater Athletic Club. Bill and June were members of Helena Gem and Mineral Society.

June resided at Eagles Manor, then Country Life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill (1995); parents; brother, Roy James, whose twin died at birth; and sister, Ethel Bone.

June is survived by her son, Roy (Janice) Weston of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Wanda Weston (Gary Hooper) of Helena; four grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren.
