"Mrs. Ellen Camp Gilliam died at a local hospital at 5 a.m. Monday morning, Nov. 21, 1927 in her thirty-fourth year. She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Gilliam; three children, Mary Ellen, Claude Watts and Lafayette Camp Gilliam, all of San Antonio; mother, Mrs. J.L. Camp of City; four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held from the residence, 405 West Cincinnati avenue. Time will be announced later. Rev. Dr. P.C. Fletcher of the Leurel Heights Methodist Church will officiate. Interment in Dignowity Cemetery under direction of Hagy & McCollum."
