Tolbert Vernon Counts, 75, formerly of Johnson, died Wednesday, April 24, in Tulsa. Born Sept. 6, 1898 at Japton, the son of Rufus and Fanny Giblen Counts, he was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are one son, Wayne of Siloam Springs; four daughters, Mrs. William Diven of Garden City, N.Y., Mrs. Edward Nole of Tulsa, and Mrs. Gordon Wray and Mrs. Roy Shumate, both of Sand Springs, Okla.; two brothers, Dave of Fayetteville and Arnold of Yorba Linda, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred West of Bentonville, Mrs. Ette Davis of Elkins, Mrs. Mary Davis of Fayetteville and Mrs. Nettie Ledbetter of Whittier, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Saturday, April 27, at the Johnson Church of Christ with burial in Bluff Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
