Former Resident Of Holmes County Dies In Michigan

Word was received in Millersburg today of the death of John Allison, native of Holmes county, which occurred Wednesday at his home at Bedford, Mich. He was 82. He was born in Monroe township, Holmes county, near Welcome, on Dec. 22, 1856, a son of William and Malinda Allison. He was married to Barbara Taylor of Welcome, who survives. Mr. Allison moved from Holmes county to Michigan in 1905. He had been an active farmer until a year ago when ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Beside the widow, he is survived by two sons, Everett Allison of Columbus, and Earl Allison of Bedford, Mich.; a brother, W. D. Allison of Millersburg and several grandchildren. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bedford.
