In 1926, Henry and Cleo (Sliger) Tennison left the Chickasaw Nation, Oklahoma and went to California. Henry's parents went with them, but returned to Oklahoma within a year.

Funeral services are pending at Hutchison's Memorial Chapel for Henry Morgan Tennison, 63, Hallwood district rancher for the past 29 years, who died at home this morning after an illness of several weeks.
Tennison was born in Oklahoma. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Letha Foster of Hallwood, Mrs. Lola Mauk of Long Beach and Mrs. Pauline Cotton of Sacramento, two sons, Devert of Kansas and Don of Fresno; two brothers Calvin of Roseville and Will of New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Thomas of Oklahoma and Mrs Ella Fosnight of Colorado, and 11 grandchildren.
