John Ole Ervin was the son of John W. Ervin b.abt.1854 DE and Mary Susan Cubbage (b.17 April 1856 DE d.02 Dec. 1892 proably DE). Their other children were: were Minnie, Lawrence Longfellow, Oscar Cubbage,and Lulu Rebecca (all Ervin). This family can be found in South Muderkill Hundred, Kent County, Delaware. They lived very close to the Maryland border.

John Ole Ervin married Mary Shaw (b.03 Jan. 1883 Crieff,Perth, Scotland- d.07 Jan. 1955 PA) The daughter of James Shaw (FAG#16275632) and Margaret Kelly (FAG#16275866}.

John Ole Ervin and Mary Shaw had 12 children: Francis Joseph, John James, James Paul, George Thomas, Mary Honora Britain Veronica (yes that is all one name), Margaret Mary, Edward P., William Richard, Joseph Michael, Charles J., Elizabeth Lou, Thomas Benedict. Their first six children were born in Wayne, PA, Edward, William and Thomas were born in Philadelphia, PA, and Joseph, Charles and Elizabeth were born in Viola, Kent Co.,Delaware.

John Ole was in Florida at the home of his daughter Mary when he died.
