Mr. and .Mrs. Ira Barsby and son C. M. Barsby, Mrs. S. P Albert and daughter Miss Alta Albert drove to Burlington Sunday morning where Miss Albert and Mr. C. M. Barsby were united in marriage at the Christian Church parsonage by the Rev. Wm. C. Melendy. Brother Melendy is an old friend of the bride and groom having been the pastor of the Christian Church in Savonburg for several years.
After partaking of dinner at the hotel in Burlington, the bridal party drove to Iola where the wedded couple took the train for Kansas City for a short honeymoon trip. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Barsby and Mrs Albert returned to Savonburg that evening.
The bride and groom need no introduction to this community having lived here all their lives. They number their friends by all who know them. The happy young couple have their home all furnished on South Walnut street.
The Record joins a host of friends in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Barsby much happiness for the future.

Mrs. Alta D. Barsby, 77, Savonburg, died Saturday, October 5, at the Allen County Hospital. Mrs. Barsby was born July 28, 1897, near Savonburg. She was a member of the Moran Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Savonburg OES, chapter 335.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Iris Spencer, lola, and Mrs. Doris Wampler, Lincoln, Nebraska; two brother, H. R. Adams, Cottage Grove, Oregon, and Jerome Albert, Wichita; a sister, Beula Olson, LaFayette, Louisiana, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Moran Christian Church. The Rev. Jean Minnich will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery. The Ralston-Huttpn Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. Barsby's name to given to the Moran Christian Church.
