On 19 Mar 1865 Manerva married Enoch Evert Wiley in Warsaw, Benton, Missouri.

The 1870 census saw Manerva and Enoch living with their two eldest children Barbara and WIlliam in Post Oak, Johnson, Missouri.

In the 1880 census, the Wiley family was living in Virgil, Vernon, Missouri. In 1884 when their daughter Dora Pearl was born, they were living in El Dorado Springs, Cedar, Missouri.

The Wiley children included Barbara Ellen (b. 1867), William Thomas (b. 1868, Charles Edward (b. 1871), John V (b. 1873), Robert Lee (b. 1874), Perlia I. (b. 1879), James E (b. 1880), Dora Pearl (b. 1884), and Lillie May (b. 1888)

Several of the Wiley children moved to the Oklahoma Territory, and the elder Wileys followed suit. In the 1900 census, Enoch is living in Seay (Blaine County) Oklahoma with his wife Manerva and his two youngest daughters Dora and Lillie May.

In 1903 Enoch had a cancer on the cheek bone. Only Lillie May, his youngest child was living at home. Enoch sent May and Manerva to town and he shot himself.

Enoch is buried in Collins Cemetery, Okeene, Blaine, Oklahoma.

In approximately 1908, Manerva remarried Peter Nelson. Peter emigrated from Denmark to the United States in 1869.
