YAKIMA - Adam Albert Jr., 78, of Yakima, passed away Wednesday June 25, 2008 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Adam was born to Adam and Doris (Morford) Albert on November 16, 1929. Adam served in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas. Adam was a lifelong mechanic and truck driver.

Adam (Junior) was a true cowboy at heart. He loved the outdoors, he was full of life and enjoyed life to the fullest, and he enjoyed camping with his CB buddies. Adam also loved music and liked to sing karaoke. He also enjoyed driving his antique cars in all the different parades. When he wasn't outdoors he liked watching his John Wayne movies. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Doris Albert; his wife of many years, Donna; his infant grandson Dakota; his sister Dorothy Meadows; his step-sister Liz Weizorack, and his long-time companion Anna Delp.

Adam is survived by his son Robert Albert, his companion Shannon Weeks and three granddaughters Kathy, Debbie and Jessica, all of Yakima; by one great granddaughter; his two brothers Jim (Doris) Albert of Yakima; Terry (Gloria) Albert of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Violet (Charlie) Johnson of Moline, IL; Goldie Sapp of Orlando, FL and Linda Sandall of Yakima; also three step-brothers, Erman (Sarah) Evans of Orlando, FL, Bill Evans of Alexander City AL, and Marvin Evans of Seattle, WA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to the caregivers who looked after Adam and to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for their special care.

There will be a viewing for his family from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Yakima chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 30 at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima. Send condolences at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
