Mrs. Lester Thacker, Donnellson Resident, Dies in Colorado

Funeral services for Mrs. Lester Thacker, who died last Tuesday, in Butler, Colorado, were held at Mt. Moriah Church, between Coffeen and Donnellson, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. J. C. Sills of Coffeen officiating. Burial was made at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Mrs. Thacker had always lived near Donnellson until September, when, on account of her poor health, the family moved to Colorado. She had lung trouble, but the climate did not prove beneficial to her health, and she did not improve, as her relatives hoped she would.

Mrs. Thacker was Anna McCaslin before her marriage and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCaslin of Donnellson. She was born on a farm near that place, Dec. 28, 1891, and at the time of her death she was 32 years, 10 months and 14 days old. She grew to womanhood on a farm near Donnellson, and in 1909, she was married to Lester Thacker. They had lived on a farm between Coffeen and Donnellson from the time of their marriage until Mrs. Thacker's health failed.

Mrs. Thacker leaves her husband and six children, Russell, Gerald, Lois, Harold, Clyde and Caroll, the oldest of whom is thirteen years old, and the youngest but a few months old. Her parents also survive her, with three brothers, Louis, Tom and William McCaslin, all of whom live near Donnellson, and four sisters, Mrs. Lula Koontz, wife of Charles Koontz, and Mrs. Millie Ellington, wife of Claude Ellington, both of Donnellson, Mrs. Mae Traylor, wife of Ed Traylor of Reno, and Mrs. Charles White of Schram City.
