Entz came to Oklahoma with his parents in 1904. They settled on a farm nine miles southeast of Hydro, where he attended grade school and German school.
In 1927, he and his parents moved to LaBlanca, Tex., and returned to Hydro in 1930. Entz moved to the Lake Oliver area, south of Hydro, and lived in the Hydro area the rest of his life.
He married Blanche Cleola McKee Aug. 5, 1932, near El Reno.
A farmer-stockman and custom combiner, Entz was believed to be the oldest custom combiner in the state.
He served on the District 3 and Hydro school boards, on the Co-op Elevator board for more than 15 years, on the city council, church board and church building committees, and taught a Sunday school.
His children, John R. of Sabine Pass, TX and Viola Warren of Hydro;
Brothers, John of Hydro, and G.B. of Oklahoma City; Marie Entz of McAllen, TX, Anna Entz of Hydro, Mrs. Howard Miller of San Juan, TS, and Mrs. Lawrence Terveen of Donna, TX.
