It read:
J. W. Knepper & Co.
We had a pleasant call at this musical publishing house. Though small, they are prepared to do all work in their line. They also deal in all kinds of musical instruments and the finest quality of strings. The business has been established two years and is doing an increasing one. Mr. Knepper is one of Nature's own gentlemen.
He was born in Ill., nationality shown as U.S.
He passed away Dec. 10, 1890 at the age of 47 yrs.
He was listed as Married at time of death.
He was a Missouri resident 13 yrs.
He passed away at Carthage, Mo.
Cause of Death was determined to be Bright's Disease.
Burial was at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
Undertaker: E. Knell.
