Death of Mrs. McTeer
Marysville March 27 - Mrs. Lavicy McTeer, wife of James A McTeer, died at her home the 19th inst. She was born December 19th 1819, married November 16, 1843, and was the mother of nine children. The children all grew up to manhood and womanhood, and all were present at her funeral. This is the first death in the family. The deceased was partly raised in northern Georgia, when Indians and wild animals were plentiful; but when yet a girl she removed to Tennessee and was married as above stated. She was an active, zealous member to the Baptist church, and died in the triumphs of the faith.
