Miss Mary G. Bell, R. N., aged 23 years, nine months, seven days, died at her residence, 823 State street, this morning at 10 o'clock, following an illness o£ a year.

Miss Bell entered Gabriels sanatorium a year ago for treatment and later underwent a serious operation in Montreal. She returned to Gabriels and remained there until March 29 when she returned to her home.

Born in this city in the house where she died December 19, 1906, a daughter of the late Captain Thomas J. Bell and Mrs.Helen Pinkerton Bell, she had always resided in this city. Miss Bell was a very popular member of the younger set and had a wide circle of friends. She attended St. Mary's grade school and academy and was graduated from the School of Nursing of the Aft Barton Hepburn hospital with the class of June, 1928.

She was engaged in general duty at the hospital until ill health forced her to give up her duties. Miss Bell was a member of St. Mary's cathedral and the Young Ladies sodality o£ that parish.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Helen Bell; one sister, Miss Helen Bell; and a grandfather, James Pinkerton, of this city. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
