Son of Jeremiah Clemmons Cargo and Almeda C Martin Cargo. He married his 1st cousin, Margaret P "Maggie" Warnick, Nov 11 1898. Died in the Virginia Mines (AL) explosion of 1905, E L Cargo listed among the dead. Children Claude and Ora A (McRae). After Ed's death, Maggie married his brother, Thomas Clemons Cargo.
Hueytown Historical Cemetery survey states death in 1906, but stone clearly states 1905.
