Kenneth Stephen Eardley (Steve) 63, of El Cajon, CA, died Sat, Nov 1, 2003, from complications following a stem cell transplant after a six year battle against lymphoma.

Born Oct 18,1940, Salt Lake City, UT to Kenneth P. and Viola Kloepfer Eardley. Graduated 1965 from the U of U and ROTC.

Served two-year LDS Southern States mission.

USAF Aircraft Commander during Vietnam War.

Married Sheryl Taylor, Apr 20, 1968, Oakland, CA LDS Temple.

PSA/US Airways Captain from 1970-97.

Served as LDS Bishop in El Cajon, California.

Survived by wife Sheryl; daughters, Heather (Damon) Jones and Shaney (Justin) Barnthouse and son, Collin Taylor Eardley; three sisters, Gail Seager, Metaire, LA; JoAnn Miller, Sandy, UT; and Sheri Slaughter, Salt Lake City, UT; three grandchildren, all who love him dearly.

Funeral services Fri, Nov 7, 10 am LDS Chapel: 1634 Hillsdale Rd, El Cajon. Friends may call at El Camino Memorial Park Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, Thurs. from 6-8pm.

Burial El Camino Memorial Park.
