Professional Hockey Player. A native of Hespeler, Ontario, he played at the position of Goalie a total of four seasons (1928 to 1931) in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Falcons (later the Detroit Red Wings). An all-around athlete Dolson also participated in baseball and soccer. He was also noted as an outstanding player with several minor league hockey teams. He played for the Stratford Nationals of the CPHL from 1926 to 1927, the London Tecumsehs of the IHL from 1929 to 1930, and the Cleveland Indians also of the IHL from 1931 until his retirement in 1933. After retiring he lived in Stratford, Ontario, for the rest of his life. For his contributions to sports he was inducted into the Waterloo County Hall of Fame.
