William Jefferson Allen, son of John Daniel and Ida (Perry) Allen was born June 3, 1905 in Lebanon, Missouri and departed this life Saturday Feb.11, 1995 at Breech Medical Center, Lebanon.
He was raised in the Eldridge community but, lived in Florida for 30 years.
He met Katherine Lee Welch in Florida while working in an orange grove. They were married Feb.14, 1947, sharing forty years together.
After retiring, they returned to Falcon, Missouri.
William made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Nazarene Church.
He enjoyed gardening, fiddle playing and fishing.

Services for William Jefferson Allen were held at 2:30pm Tuesday, Feb.14, 1995 at Holman Chapel with Rev. Charles Myers officiating.
Burial was in Grange Hall Cemetery.
Music, "I'll Meet You in The Morning" and "Precious Memories", was provided by Kenneth Howe and Gerry Hoke.
Escorts were Larry Finley, Gary, Elbert and Dale Myers, Bill Ragland and Randy Starnes, with Chester and Stephen Myers, as honorary escorts.

William is survived by four daughters, Lena Ragland of Eldridge, Hazel Cannon, Cindy Scott, both of Lebanon, and Kathy Myers of Falcon; five sons, Marvin Welch of Florida, Daniel and Ivan of Eldridge, Ray of Falcon and Everett of Michigan; twenty three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine in 1991, two grandchildren and his brother, James Barton Nutter.
