Lamb Funeral To Be Held at Galena Tuesday—GALENA, Kas.
Funeral services for A O. Lamb, 82 years old, Galena police judge and justice of the peace, died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night in his home, 1914 Galena avenue, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Derfelt funeral chapel, with the Rev. J. O. Derfelt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mayor Homer McAfee has announced that all city offices will be closed for Judge Lamb's funeral and has asked that all business houses close for the funeral, out of respect to Mr. Lamb who had served as police judge and justice of the peace in Galena 17 years.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Allen, Earl Neeley, Harl Boswell, Jack Jones, Bob Jones and Homer Peek.
City and county officials and members of the Kansas state highway patrol in the area will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The body will lie in state at Derfelt funeral chapel until the hour of the services.
Mr. Lamb had resided in Galena all his life. Before serving as police judge and justice of the peace, he was employed for 10 years as engineer at the city water plant.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Minnie Lamb, of the home; two sons, O'Neal Lamb of Los Angeles, Calif., and Richard Lamb of Baxter Springs; four daughters: Mrs. Helen Pennock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mrs. Margaret Moore of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Marie Link and Mrs. Kathleen Hardwick of Galena; a brother, Clarence Lamb of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Clover of San Diego; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
