Born January 19, 1938, in Nodaway County, to Obed B. and Ethel Maude Holtsclaw Oglesby, he was retired from the Maintenance department at Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville.
He married Shirley Lou Riley, June 14, 1958, in Ravenwood.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, Ravenwood. He graduated from Ravenwood High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Mr. Oglesby was preceded in death by his parents, Obed Oglesby and Ethel Oglesby Gates; and one sister, Ogle Woolsey.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Oglesby, Maryville; two daughters, Pamela Heard, Maryville and Barbara Ross, St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Vilas Oglesby, St. Joseph and Byron Oglesy, Ocalla, Flordia; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 7, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, with the Rev. Susan Stowers Noakes and Dr. Franklin Marlin officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood.
